At what time does Golden Monkey Safari begin trekking in Volcanoes National Park Rwanda starts at 7:00 a.m.. Just like Gorilla tracking and in Uganda trekking starts at 8:00 a.m.
Time with the Golden Monkeys
Golden monkeys just like Gorilla tracking, and the visit is a one-hour activity, the moment you find the Golden monkeys, the clock will count for an hour as you observe their way of life, the behavior, you take photographs and then you’ll head back to your lodge
Maximum number of people to trek a Golden monkey family
Not like gorilla tracking which requires a maximum of eight people per Gorilla family, there is no limit on the number of people for a given Golden Monkey family.
Golden monkey permits
This is another FAQ which is a piece of a permit.
In Rwanda (Volcanoes National Park) a Golden Monkey permit is at USD 100 per person per trek, the park entry fee services of a ranger guide, and an hour with habituated Golden Monkey.
In Uganda, it is USD 50 (Mgahinga Gorilla National Park): this excludes the park entry fee even though it includes services of a ranger guide and spending an hour with the habituated Golden Monkeys.
Golden Monkey tracking permits can be booked in advance or on a last-minute basis. There is no restriction on the number of people allowed to trek them. Interested trekkers must be at least 12 years old, although this requirement is not as strictly enforced as it is for Gorilla trekking.
