Our one-day Uganda-Entebbe tour will begin and end in Entebbe, it will take you and explore Entebbe town which is the gateway to Uganda. You will stand a chance to explore Entebbe botanical gardens and the Uganda wildlife education center (zoo). Entebbe town was known as one of the capital city of Uganda and the entrance point for many missionaries that came to Uganda through Tanzania and Kenya. Also, Entebbe is the main entrance to Uganda as it hosts the only international airport and Entebbe has the State house which is residence of the president of Uganda, known as. It’s a small city but has plenty it offers in as far as tourism is concerned.

Our first stop will be at Entebbe Botanical Gardens which is located along the shores of Lake Victoria and it was established over 100years ago. Once here you will enjoy a variety of amazing bird species, several species of monkeys jumping from one tree branch to another, not only that but you will see different indigenous and imported plants and trees; indeed they look so beautiful. Uganda wildlife education center(Entebbe zoo)

Next stopover will be at the Uganda Wildlife Education Center (UWEC), which was previously known as the Entebbe Zoo. The zoo hosts a variety of animal and birds many are local origin and some from other continents like Asia.

Birding in Entebbe

For birders, you stand a chance to have a kin encounter with several species of birds as well as several species of animals which you can see a few meters away from you. Not only seeing, but you will stand a chance to learn more about their life and how they fit in the general Eco system in Uganda. To mention some of the animals expected to see at the Uganda wildlife education center include; Lions, Rhinos, Giraffes, Buffalo, Crocodiles, Zebras, Kob, Impala, bush buck, water buck, Leopard, and Chimps among many others.

In addition to that, a big percentage of these animals were saved from accidents or poachers and others brought there for educational purposes.

The Sunset Cruise on Lake Victoria

Do not miss another exciting activity at Entebbe the sunset cruise on Lake Victoria. You will leave the dock at 5pm to start this striking tour of Lake Victoria.  The cruise lasts for about 90 minutes with gorgeous views of the Lake Victoria. You will see a variety of many small boats of fishermen sprinkled all over the place and those using the fishing nets. Be sure to capture the sunset over Lake Victoria on your camera, it’s really a beautiful sight! The boat trip will take you to the Equator memorial on one of the stone islands on Lake Victoria, it’s really fantastic. Never miss Entebbe tour while on a Uganda safari or tour.
