Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up in Nairobi – Fly to the Masai Mara
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport in Nairobi, you will be met by our company representative to start your journey to the Masai Mara at your agreed time with your safari guide. Transfer to Wilson Airport. Connect to your lodge for relaxation for the evening.

Day 2: Hot air balloon and game drives
You will be picked up from your lodge quite early to connect for your hot air balloon safari, which will take about 1 hour with great aerial views of the park and its habitats. After the balloon experience, you will receive a certificate, and enjoy a bush breakfast connected back to your lodge with an en-route game drive for some animals.
Have lunch at your lodge, then explore the Masai Mara plains for a game drive that will get you quite close to different wildlife species in big numbers. From solitary buffaloes to copulating lions, birds, and small game of all types, you will see it all on a game drive inthe Masai Mara.

Day 3: Morning game drive and experiencing the wildebeest migration
Have breakfast early enough and drive to the Masai Mara for your morning game drive. Here, you’ll encounter various wildlife species. Be keen enough as you observe the popularly known wildebeest migration from the Serengeti crossing to the Masai Mara via the Mara River. This migration only takes place from July to October. Animals such as the wildebeest, Zebras, Lions, Cheetahs, Elephants, Hyenas, and Thompson’s gazelle, to mention but a few, can be spotted. Later evening, return to your lodge.

Day 4: Fly to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Fly to Entebbe, and take your domestic flight to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, located in the western part of Uganda. This domestic flight is from Entebbe or Kajjansi air strip to Kihihi or Kisoro. After that, have a scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking experience – Buhoma Sector
After your delicious breakfast, drive to the park headquarters with your packed lunch, water, and trekking gear for a briefing about Mountain Gorilla trekking by the park officials, who will provide expectations and non-expectations about trekking. After the allocation of gorilla groups, drive to the starting point where you will enter the forest to start trekking. This will take 2-8 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas. You will spend 1 hour viewing them and taking pictures and videos. Thereafter, return to meet your guide and drive back to the lodge.

Day 6: Fly back to Entebbe
Wake up early, have breakfast, and embark on your flight through Kihihi or Kisoro air strip to Entebbe. On arrival at Entebbe, your driver will drop you at the airport for your evening flight back home, depending on your flight details. End of safari.
