Detailed Itinerary of the 8 Days Budget Rwanda Uganda Gorillas & Wildlife Safari

Day 1: Arrival at Bwindi Forest National Park

At Entebbe International Airport, you are welcomed, briefed about the safari, and transferred by your driver guide. Then, you’ll transfer to the South West of Uganda to Bwindi Forest National Park. The park is close to the border of Uganda and Rwanda. Also, you’ll have en-route views of the green terrain, birds, and lunch. You’ll reach the Park to check in at the lodge for Dinner and Overnight.

Dinner and overnight: Four Gorillas/Rushaga Havens Lodge

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest

Get up early in the morning have breakfast then transfer to the headquarters. You’ll go for a precise briefing on conduct around the Mountain Gorillas.
Then, rangers will allocate you a gorilla family to trek, in a group of 8 tourists. A park ranger guide then leads you to the green forest to trek the Gorillas for 3-5 hours. The time it takes to find the gorillas usually depends on the reported current location and gorilla movements. On meeting the Gorillas, in an hour get your camera with no flash and take photos to keep. After Gorilla Trek, go to headquarters for Gorilla Trekking Certificate then later to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, then proceed on a journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Mweya Peninsular and Ishasha Sector. The journey takes you 5 to 7 hours. Henceforth, En route, watch Mountain Rwenzori at a distance, birds and have lunch. After a while, you reach the Park and check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 4: Game Drive & Boat Cruise at Kazinga Channel

Embark on Game Drive along the different tracks in the park watching wildlife wander around their natural vegetation habitat. Then, at mid-day, break off for lunch and then continue to the shores of Kazinga Channel. At 2:30 pm proceed on Afternoon Boat Cruise along Kazinga Channel.
Along the Boat Cruise watch the schools of hippos and crocodiles beneath the waters. Also, see other wildlife animals along the shores breaking their thirst. Consequently, these include elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, lions, and many others.
After the Boat Cruise, go to your lodge for relaxation.

Day 5: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Today have your morning breakfast then continue on the journey. The journey will see you traverse the Uganda-Rwanda border. This will happen as you drive towards Ruhengeri District at Volcanoes National Park. En route watch the green terrain vegetation, and birds as well as have lunch. After a while, reach the Park and Check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking at Volcanoes National Park

Gorilla Trekking Day is here. Early morning breakfast at 6:30 am then continue to the headquarters. You’ll go for a briefing on conduct around the Mountain Gorillas. Then later, the rangers will allocate you a gorilla family to trek, in a group of 8 tourists. A park ranger guide then leads you to the green forest to trek the Gorillas for 3-5 hours. On this Day enjoy your breakfast then go to headquarters for a short briefing on conduct around the Golden Monkeys. Then, later continue with your guide and enter the forest to track the Golden Monkeys. Accordingly, the activity takes 2-4 hours and when you meet them take many photos to keep. Then, After Golden Monkey tracking in the green forest, return to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight.
