When to book a safari to Uganda?

“The best time to book safaris to Uganda is during the dry months of December to February, and then June to October. During this period, wildlife viewing is easier as the vegetation is not fully grown, unlike the wet seasons of March to May and late October to November. Uganda welcomes visitors year-round, offering opportunities to see wildlife in all national parks, and sometimes even witnessing natural events. We will maintain communication and provide you with updates on wildlife and your safari before your arrival.

How to book a safari to Uganda.

To book all major activities like chimpanzee tracking, gorilla tracking, golden monkey tracking, and mountain hiking, you will need to secure permits in advance. Once you have your planned dates of travel confirmed we will need you to send us an email or contact us on WhatsApp at Safari Vacations and Travel Services so that we check for the availability of permits online with the Uganda Wildlife Authority once we confirm availability for your planned dates we will let you know so that we can send you an invoice for you to make payment for the permits. Once the payment is done and we have received it on our account go ahead and book your activities. You can pay the balance of your safari in later days before your safari date.

What is the cost of accommodation?

To book safaris to Uganda, you will be presented with accommodation options categorized into Budget, Mid-range, and Luxury. These vary in prices, amenities, and service. In addition to that, you can choose the best option depending on your interest and travel budget. Budget lodges in safari destinations range from USD50-USD100 per person per night, the midrange lodges/Camp range from USD150per person per night to USD200, and the Luxury lodges range from USD250-1000per person per night. We always recommend good and beautiful hotels per destination, rooms with en-suite bathrooms and toilets, and all amenities for a comfortable stay.

What is the cost of transportation?

Depending on the means you would like to use, the cost varies. We do organize flying safaris to different national parks in Uganda, this reduces hours of driving on bumpy roads. The cost per flight to different airstrips ranges from USD200-500 one way. To adept Entebbe International Airport or Kajjansi airstrip to different airstrips, you will need to book a scheduled or charter domestic flight. Some airplanes only take up to four individuals.

The type of vehicle you select will determine the transportation cost. We offer safari Super Customs/Vans with pop-ups, which range from USD100-150 per day with a guide. Additionally, Safari Land Cruisers are available, ranging from USD 150 to 250 per day. We do provide drinking water for the whole safari in the vehicle, Air conditioning, and Comfort of vehicles. We will also estimate for you the fuel required for the whole safari depending on how many days you would like to spend. The more people in the vehicle, the transport cost per person.
