Horseback riding is one of the unique experience that you can tailor make on your safari to Uganda and is currently commonly conducted in Lake Mburo National Park and Murchison Falls National Park however there are several sport centers which are adopting the practice in different locations of the country. The activity is not discriminative and best suit for family, honey moon and group travelers and mostly doesn’t require any experience as you can be trained immediately to go for the ride on these trained friendly animals. Alternatively, travelers with experience in horse riding can ride together at high speed with plenty of cantering. Interestingly, horses are trained and hence know what to do and when.
Note; Inexperienced riders are given training on how to control a horse before the start of the activity. Over 1600, horses have been recorded by census Agencies in Uganda with most in the Karamoja region. Each horse has a mounting block, saddlebags and rain jacket that can be very handy during the rainy season.
