Detailed Itinerary of the 11-day Tanzania Great Migration Safari
Day 1: Arrive at Kilimanjaro airport and drive to Arusha.
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro airport, our professional driver will pick you up. You will then transfer to your hotel for relaxation and overnight as he briefs you about your entire safari. Also, you can have an optional tour of Arusha and visit the local markets

Day 2: Transfer to Tarangire National Park.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will embark on your vehicle to Tarangire National Park. The park is famous for herds of elephants and baobab trees. You will have a game drive where you will spot a variety of mammals inclusive of Lions and other predators. You will later transfer to Karatu for dinner and overnight

Day 3: Game drive in Serengeti central-Seronera
After breakfast, you will embark on your vehicle to start your journey to Serengeti National Park. You’ll be crossing Ngorongoro Highlands. You will have a game drive in the Serengeti savannah areas and spot a variety of wildlife spreading all over the area. You will have optional activities such as visiting Olduvai Gorge, a sunrise Balloon safari in Serengeti

Day 4: Game drive in Serengeti Central-Serengeti Mara
After breakfast, you will drive towards the Mara area in the northern part of Serengeti. Here, you can see the Great Migration. If we are lucky we might witness the wildlife crossing on the famous Mara River. You can have an optional sunrise balloon safari in Serengeti

Day 5: Game drive in Serengeti North-Serengeti Central area
After breakfast, you will embark on your vehicle for the game drive. Then, you’ll proceed to the northern part of Serengeti with a prime emphasis on the Great Migration. You will later drive back to the central Serengeti with a game drive en route.

Day 6: Descend the Ngorongoro crater and the game drives
After breakfast, you will drive to Ngorongoro and descend to the crater where you explore Ngorongoro craters. You’ll admire dormant volcanoes and the surrounding areas. Also, you will be able to spot a variety of wildlife inclusive of the Big 5 animals on a lucky day. These are the Lions, leopards, Rhinos, Elephants, and buffaloes. If you have an interest in birding, you won’t miss out. You will be able to see various bird species.

Day 7: International flight to Zanzibar
After breakfast, we will drop you off at Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight to Zanzibar. Arrive at the Zanzibar Airport with Precision Air/Rwanda Air. Then, transfer to the Hotel/ Resort for dinner and overnight

Day 8: Beach Day, relaxation and free time
Today you will be having individual space and beach relaxing at the resort. This is your individual space and free time at the beach hotel where you can plan to do anything on your own. There are different activities such as water sports that you can enjoy, take pictures and relax

Day 9: Dolphin excursion
After breakfast, drive to the South and take the Dolphin excursion, with lunch on the way. In the late evening, drive to Stone Town and overnight at the Zanzibar Serena Inn.
The Dolphin tour takes place in the southernmost part of the island. Precisely, it takes place in the quaint Kizimkazi fishing village. Here many dolphins live happily in a natural setting. Hence, you will be able to see them in their best possible scenario. This is the perfect place for dolphin watching in Zanzibar and it is also popular all around the world. There are bottle-nosed dolphins and Humpback dolphins. You can easily see the dolphins while you sail on the boat from the village. Also, You may indulge in swimming as well as snorkeling.
You partake in the activity in the early morning and afternoon, subject to weather conditions. He will pick you up from the hotel at 6:00 am in case you have an interest in the morning tour, or at 2:30 pm for the afternoon one. On this full-day tour, there is a fair chance you will get to watch them up close and personal.

Day 10: Zanzibar beach life
After your breakfast, you will be free to enjoy beach life on the shores of the Indian Ocean. You may decide to swim, enjoy the beauty of the blue water, participate in boat rides, take a walk on the beach, and or swim in hotel swimming pools. Mombasa Beach hotels have some of the best swimming pools in East Africa.

Day 11: International Flight Back home
You will drive to the airport in the afternoon to catch your flight to Dar es Salaam and your international flight home.
