Day 1: Arrival & overnight in Kigali
A representative from our company will meet you at Kigali International Airport, take you for a city excursion, have lunch en route for early arrivals, and visit many other great places before transferring you to Step Town Motel for dinner and overnight stay.
Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel Des Mille Collines
Day 2: Transfer to Ruhengeri
After breakfast, you will go on another city tour around Kigali. You will visit the Kimironko market (one of Africa’s largest local markets), the Genocide Memorial site, and the places you failed to see the previous day. You will have your lunch meal at the majestic Hotel Des Mille Collines (Hotel Rwanda), then transfer to Ruhengeri / Musanze, arriving in the evening for check-in and relaxation.
Dinner and overnight stay at Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge/Mountain Gorilla View Lodge/Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge.
Day 3: First Gorilla Trekking
Have an early morning breakfast meal and head to the park headquarters in Kinigi for a briefing before continuing to look for gorillas. The journey to search for gorillas can take 1 to 7 hours, depending on the previous day’s movements of the gorillas. Adventuring the steep bamboo slopes to see the gorillas is an inspiring moment. On meeting the gorillas, you will be rewarded with an hour around them at a distance of about 6–8 meters. After this magical hour, you will then journey back to your starting point, receive your respective mountain gorilla trekking certificates, and then drive back to your lodge to relax. In the afternoon/evening, you can carry out a few optional communal activities or stay at the lodge.

Day 4: Second Gorilla Trek
This day you enjoy your second day of gorilla trekking, but in a different location and with a different mountain gorilla family. You will go through the exact process on the same day before heading to search for gorillas. Once the gorillas are located, your small group will be granted a maximum of one hour with them, just as on the previous day, before you return to the park headquarters to pick up your current mountain gorilla trekking certificate. Just as the previous day, you can decide to carry out a few optional activities within the park or stay at your gorilla safari lodge to relax and kill off your fatigue.

Day 5: Kigali and departure
Have an early morning breakfast meal and depart Musanze for Kigali. You will arrive in Kigali a bit early and have lunch at Hotel Rwanda. Proceed to the airport to catch up with your onward flight to mark the end of your 5-Day Luxury Gorilla Tour in Rwanda.
