Day 2: Gorilla Tracking Experience and transfer to Bunyonyi
You’ll get up very early for breakfast. Then, you’ll drive to the park headquarters for a briefing. Rangers will allocate your gorilla family group there. They’ll confirm your group at 8 people. After that, 2 ranger guides will lead you into the thick, impenetrable forest. Your search for the endangered mountain gorillas begins here.
The gorilla search team always resumes from the previous day’s last sighting spot. Once you reach the gorillas’ vicinity, you can interact with them for one hour only. Maintain utmost silence throughout the encounter. Photography and similar activities are permitted.
Advanced trackers guide the trek. They monitor gorilla movements all day in the forest. This way, they know where the gorillas nested the previous night. That’s where your search begins. Meanwhile, the 2 ranger guides lead you through the trek. They clear trails, create new paths, and share information about the mountain gorillas and Bwindi Forest along the way.
After the trek, you’ll return to the starting point. There, you’ll pick up your certificate, a sign of successful gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Afterward, you’ll head back to your hotel. There, you’ll have lunch and pack your things. Then, you’ll set off for Bunyonyi.

Also, you will have the chance to see different bird species as you move on. After this experience, you will have to get back to the booked hotel and have lunch. After this, you will pack your things and get ready to leave for Entebbe to end the tour.
