3 Days Fly-in gorilla habituation safari
This 3 days fly-in gorilla habituation safari allows you to spend four hours with the gorillas in their natural habitat. The gorilla habituation experience is an extraordinary activity where the wild gorillas are trained to get used to human presence and the activity only takes place in the Rushaga sector which is found in the southern part of Bwindi’s impenetrable national park.
The gorilla habituation experience allows a maximum number of four visitors who go with a team of conservationists, researchers, and park rangers among others in search of a wild gorilla family, and once found you will spend four hours with the gorillas learning more about their habits, behaviors, monitoring them, taking photos, videos, giving the gorillas names among others. gorilla habituation process takes a period of 2 to 3 months before it is complete and when the researchers are sure that the gorillas can be trekked they will introduce a mock exercise where a group of reporters, and scientists will visit the group and when they pass the mock exercise the gorilla family will be opened for trekking.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest
On the first day of your 3 days fly-in gorilla habituation safari you will have breakfast at the lodge and your driver guide will pick you up and transfer you to Entebbe International Airport or Kajansi Airfield for your morning flight to Kisoro airstrip through Aerolink. The aircraft departs at 7:00 am and arrives at the airstrip at 8:10 am. Upon arrival, connect to the lodge in Rushaga by road, check in, and then have lunch.
After lunch, you will go for a forest walk where you will interact with the Batwa/pygmies who lived in the forest before it was gazetted into a national park. The Batwa were fierce warriors, hunters, and gathers therefore during your interaction you will get an opportunity to learn the hunting and gathering skills, taste their food, view various plant species that were used as medicine to cure different illnesses, learn about their culture, be entertained through music, dance, and drama among others. After the forest walk you will head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla habituation experience
After breakfast on the second day of your 3 days fly-in the gorilla trekking safari you will carry your packed lunch and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing about the rules, regulations, and expectations of gorilla habituation. After the briefing, you will start trekking in the jungle with researchers, and rangers among others. Gorilla habituation will take a whole day and visitors will spend four hours with the gorillas under habituation.
During the four hours, you will participate in naming the gorillas, monitor their behaviors, and habits, watch them carry out their daily activities, take photos, and record the moments to show people back home which give you exciting and extraordinary experiences. After the four hours, you will trek back to the park headquarters where you will meet your driver guide and transfer to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 3: Departure to Entebbe
On the last day of your 3 days fly gorilla habituation safari you will wake up, have breakfast, check out of the lodge, and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Kisoro or Kihihi airstrip for your flight to Entebbe airport. The aircraft from Kisoro airstrip will depart at 8:25 am and arrive at Entebbe Airport at 11:25 am. Upon arrival at the airport, you will either board a plane back to your home or go to the lodge for relaxation.
