Our 3-Day Congo Lowland Gorilla Trekking in Kahuzi Biega National Park takes visitors for mountain gorilla trekking at Virunga National Park which lies in the northeastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The park’s southern tip rests on the northern shore of Lake Kivu a short distance from the town of Goma to the east. Virunga National Park is home to abundant wildlife like Hippos, Okapis, Antelope, Pelicans, etc. The Park is home to the Rare Mountain Gorilla and is the main Tourist Activity.
Day 1:
Arrival at Goma International Airport and boat transfer to Bukavu via Lake Kivu
On arrival at Goma International Airport, safari vacations, and travel services Driver/Guide will transfer you to Lake Kivu for a speed boat cruise to Bukavu town in Congo. The speed boat transfer takes 2-3 hours one way.
You will enjoy the beautiful views across Lake Kivu as you transfer to Bukavu town in the south.

Day 2
Congo Eastern Lowland Gorilla trekking in Kahuzi Biega national park
After the early morning breakfast, You will have an early breakfast and drive to the Park Headquarters of Kahuzi-Beiga National Park for a briefing from the park officials on the dos and don’ts of your Congo lowland Gorilla trek adventure. You will be allocated a Gorilla Family to track and here you will join guides and expert trackers to lead you in finding the Gorillas, take advantage of an astounding biodiversity and the world’s highest concentration of western lowland gorillas. Upon sighting the Gorillas, you will be allowed to stay with them for one hour during which you will experience the awesome experience of watching these gentle giants feed, play, and care for their young. After your trek, return to the Park Headquarters where you will meet with your driver to transfer back to the Hotel / Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Boat Transfer on Lake Kivu to Goma and departure flight

Our company driver guide will drive you to Lake Kivu for a transfer by a speed boat from Bukavu to Goma and thereafter transfer to Goma International Airport for your departure flight to end your 3 days on Congo Eastern Lowland Gorilla trekking safari to Kahuzi Biega National Park.
