2 Days Golden Monkey Trekking in Rwanda

Safari vacations and ravel services bring the 2 Days golden monkey trekking in Rwanda’s Volcanos National Park that takes you to one of Africa’s oldest wildlife conservation areas. 2 Days Golden Monkey Trekking In Rwanda

    Introduction

The Volcanoes National Park, located in northwestern Rwanda, is renowned for its mountain gorillas and has seen a surge in visitors since reopening in 1999 after the civil war and genocide. The park also boasts golden monkeys, forest elephants, buffaloes, and various other wildlife. With 178 bird species and diverse vegetation ranging from afro-alpine to rainforests, savannas, and swamps, the park’s biodiversity is exceptional. The presence of five volcanoes further contributes to its ecological richness. 2 Days Golden Monkey Trekking In Rwanda. 2 Days Golden Monkey Trekking In Rwanda

Dian Fossey, a prominent primatologist, dedicated two decades to studying mountain gorillas in the park, ultimately shifting her focus to their conservation. Her efforts significantly curtailed poaching and played a crucial role in the preservation of mountain gorillas.

In Rwanda, golden monkeys are not only found in Volcanoes National Park but also in Gishwati-Mukura and Nyungwe National Parks. Recognizable by their golden-orange fur, these monkeys live in troops and predominantly feed on bamboo and insects. They are vigilant against threats, particularly African Eagles.

Golden monkey trekking is an inclusive activity suitable for families, as there is no age limit. However, like mountain gorillas, golden monkeys are endangered, prompting concerns among experts about their survival if conservation efforts are not intensified. 2 Days Golden Monkey Trekking In Rwanda
