Safari Vacations and Travel Services, Specializes in organizing gorilla safaris from Kigali to Uganda’s Bwindi and Mgahinga impenetrable national parks. This 3 days Uganda gorilla safari from Kigali is meant for those who are in Kigali but would like to track mountain gorillas in Uganda, It is also ideal for those who would not like to spend more hours of driving from Entebbe to Bwindi or Mgahinga but would rather fly to Kigali and then drive to Bwindi. The driving time from Entebbe or Kampala to Bwindi is 8-9 hours compared to 4-5 hours’ drive from Kigali to Bwindi which makes it’s shorter from Kigali to Bwindi compared to starting from Entebbe to Bwindi by road.
Our driver-guide will pick you from the airport/hotel or your residence in Kigali, pass by the Kigali genocide memorial if time allows, and then after driving to Bwindi or Mgahinga gorilla national parks. You will cross through the Katuna border or the Chanika border depending on the location of the park you are going to.
Meal plan: Lunch and Dinner
Accommodation: Rushaga gorilla havens lodge, lake Chahafi resort.
After early morning breakfast, your driver-guide will drive you to the park offices for a briefing which starts at exactly 8:00 am. You will join other trackers from different lodges around the park. The park guide will give you a general briefing about the background of the park and even tell you the gorilla rules and regulations before you head into the forest. Gorillas live in groups; this means that after the briefing you will be allocated to a particular family. The gorilla families live in different locations in the park so the starting points may differ. Some Treks may be easy, medium, or long to trek. Tell your driver-guide about your interests and he will be able to talk to the park warden about it and if possible, you will be helped. After gorilla trekking, you will be picked up by your driver-guide and head back to your lodge.

End of 3 days Uganda gorilla safari from Kigali
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Uganda, June 2017 'The Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a biodiverse, mountainous area in southwest Uganda. It's home to many of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, who feed on roots, leaves and fruits from the park’s many tree and fern species. Restricted numbers of viewing permits help protect the endangered gorilla families.' Google Nkuringo Family 'This group was opened up for tourism in April 2004 and it is located in Nkuringo sector in the southern part of the Park. The group has 20 members including 3 silver backs. It derives its name from the local Rukiga word for "round hill". The major reason for their habituation was the problems they created for the local communities by destroying crops and other products. Therefore the Uganda Wildlife Authority knew that once this Gorilla group is opened for tourism, the local community could directly benefit from tourism and it formed a protection for the gorillas as well. The family was led by the silverback Nkuringo who died in 2008, leaving behind 2 silverbacks in the group. In November 2008, the Nkuringo family expanded thanks to the special birth of a twin – Katungi and Muhozi – though Katungi unfortunately died at the age of 1.5 years. Other family members in the group include: Safari, Kirungi and Rafiki (Silverbacks), Bahati, Posho, Karibu and X-Mas (Blackbacks), Kwetonda, Kasotora, Mama Xmas and Samehe (Adult females), Ramutwe, Magara, Kwesima and Kuhirwa (Juvenile), Tabu, Fulaha, Muhozi and Kiiza (Infants)' http://gorillatrekking.travel/content/gorillas-families-uganda#
