Overview
The 5-day Rwanda Culture and Gorillas Safari is a tour package that takes you through the jungle of Rwanda in search of the primates. It involves visiting Volcanoes National Park in search of the mountain gorillas. The 5-day Rwanda Culture and Gorilla Safari will then take you through the Rwandan culture as you visit the Butare Museum and the King’s Palace.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
You will be met by the Safari Vacations driver/guide on arrival. He will then drive you to Volcanoes National Park, located in the northern part of Rwanda. This journey takes you through the beautiful countryside of terraced hills and meandering roads. You will arrive at your lodge in time for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park
Have an early morning tasty breakfast at the lodge, and you will start your exciting morning drive to the Rwanda Development Board Headquarters at Volcanoes National Park. You will begin your trek into the indigenous forest in search of the Gorillas. This trek allows you to immerse yourself in the strange but intimate part of the rainforest where you will hear live calls of colorful birds, the chattering of the rare golden monkey, as well as the forest filled with fresh spoor of the mountain’s elusive populations of buffalo and elephant. Have lunch at the lodge and later relax from the tiresome and exciting activity of the day.

Day 3: Back to Kigali for a city tour
With your previous gorilla trekking memories still fresh, you will then drive to Kigali for a city tour that may involve visits to markets, driving around town, and a visit to the Kigali Memorial genocide center to learn more about the history of the genocide in Rwanda and the entire world.
Overnight: Hotel Des Mille Colines/Five To Five Hotel

Day 4: Visit to Kings’ Palace and the Butare National Museum
After an early morning breakfast, you will drive to the Butare region of Rwanda for a visit to the King’s Palace. You will be taken through the rich culture of Rwanda, and the history of kingship from the first king to the last one, and after that, you will visit the National Museum before returning to Kigali for an overnight.

DAY 5: Departure
Depending on your departure schedule, you will be transferred to Kigali Airport for your international flight out.
