3 Days Gorilla Tracking Bwindi Forest tour

The 3 days gorilla gorilla-tracking Bwindi forest tour in Uganda takes a magical journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park that is the home of mountain gorillas. The safari doesn’t only spot mountain gorillas but also spots to number of mammal species in the park like monkeys and different birds. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is composed of 331 square kilometers of both montane and lowland forest and it is situated in the southwestern region of Uganda.

Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi National Park

On your arrival at your airport or from your hotel, you will be picked up by your drive guide from Safari Vacations and Travel Services. He will shortly brief you about your 3 day tour and then start your journey to the home of mountain gorillas. The journey is approximately 8 hours to the park and you will have a stopover at the Uganda equator in Kayabwe for photographic and a simple experiment before continuing to Mbarara Town for lunch then after lunch, you will embark on your scenic drive to Bwindi Forest National Park

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and visiting the Batwa pygmies

You will wake up very early in the morning, have your breakfast, and then join your drive guide who will drive you to the park headquarters for the registration and briefing about the gorilla’s way of life and the tracking guidelines.

You are accompanied by a park ranger and then enter the thick forest to start a gorilla trekking adventure in search of the mountain gorillas. Then after meeting the gorillas, you will spend an hour time observing their behavior and taking photographs. You will go back to the park headquarters where you will be awarded a gorilla certificate for participating in the activity

After you will go for an optional cultural tour of the neighboring community. During the cultural tour, you will be able to interact with the Batwa/pygmies who lived in the forest before it was gazetted into a national park. You will therefore be able to learn about their culture, and traditions, and visit their homesteads, and farmlands. Learn how to dig, taste their traditional dishes, and learn how to make local beer from bananas. Enjoy their traditional entertainment among others. After the cultural tour, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Drive back to Entebbe

After a relaxed breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Kampala. On the way, you will have an en-route lunch at Igongo Cultural Centre. After you proceed to Kampala, upon arrival your driver guide will drop you off at Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight or drop off at any place of advice.
