Day 01 :

Transfer from Kampala or Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Your safari begins after breakfast when your Safari Vacations and Travel Services driver-guide collects you from your hotel or agreed pickup point in Kampala or Entebbe.

You will travel southwest through Uganda's countryside, passing small towns, villages, farms, wetlands, and rolling landscapes.

A stop can be made around the Equator area for photographs and refreshments before continuing toward western Uganda.

You will have lunch along the way before driving through the increasingly mountainous scenery of southwestern Uganda.

Day 02 :

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today is the highlight of your 4 Days Gorillas and Lake Bunyonyi Safari.

After an early breakfast, your driver-guide will transfer you to the gorilla trekking briefing point. You should carry drinking water, rain protection, sturdy walking shoes, long trousers, and other trekking essentials.

Uganda Wildlife Authority guides will explain the trekking procedures and important rules before assigning visitors to different gorilla families.

You then enter Bwindi's tropical rainforest with trained guides and trackers.

The trek can last several hours depending on the gorillas' location, terrain, and movements. Along the way, you may encounter monkeys, forest birds, butterflies, giant forest plants, and other wildlife.

When the gorillas are located, you will normally spend up to one hour observing them from the permitted distance.

Day 03 :

The drive takes you through dramatic hills, cultivated terraces, villages, and rural communities.

On arrival, check into your lodge and enjoy views across the lake.

The afternoon is deliberately relaxed following the previous day's gorilla trek.

You can spend your time resting at the lodge or choose an optional canoe or motorboat experience on Lake Bunyonyi.
