Best Time to Trek and Key Rules
The dry seasons — June to September and December to January — offer drier trails, more active gorillas, and better photography conditions. The low season brings fewer crowds and discounted accommodation rates.
During your trek, maintain at least 8 meters from the gorillas. Stay behind if you feel sick. However, keep your voice low, avoid flash photography, and never litter in the forest. Strictly observe the one-hour time limit with the gorillas.
