From Kigali, Nyungwe Forest National Park is located to the south of the country, approximately 200 km (124 miles) away from the Rwandan capital. The route takes you through Muhanga and Huye, passing by the king’s palace in Nyaza, before continuing to Butare. From Butare, the journey proceeds along hilly roads until you reach the park headquarters situated in Gisekura.
