Day 01 :

Transfer from Entebbe or Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Your professional driver-guide will collect you from Entebbe, Kampala or an agreed location after breakfast. You will then begin the journey towards Queen Elizabeth National Park, travelling through Uganda’s attractive countryside.

The journey follows the Kampala–Masaka road, with a stop at the Equator in Kayabwe. Here, you can take photographs, browse the craft shops and observe a demonstration illustrating the position of the Equator.

Continue to Mbarara for lunch before travelling through the rolling hills and farmland of western Uganda. You will arrive at Queen Elizabeth National Park in the late afternoon or early evening.

Depending on your arrival time and lodge location, you may enjoy a short evening game drive or relax at the lodge while overlooking the surrounding wilderness.

Day 02 :

Morning Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

After an early breakfast, enter the Kasenyi Plains for a morning game drive. This open savannah area is one of the park’s best wildlife-viewing regions and supports large herds of Uganda kob, which attract predators such as lions and leopards.

Your driver-guide will help you search for elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, waterbucks, bushbucks, hyenas and several antelope species. Although wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, the morning hours generally provide excellent viewing conditions because animals are more active and temperatures are cooler.

Return to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation before proceeding to the Mweya Peninsula for an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel.

The channel connects Lake George and Lake Edward and supports one of Africa’s largest concentrations of hippos. During the cruise, you may see elephants and buffaloes drinking along the banks, Nile crocodiles resting near the water and numerous aquatic birds.

After the boat safari, return to your lodge. If time permits, you may enjoy a short evening game drive before dinner.

Day 03 :

Return to Kampala or Entebbe

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge before beginning the return journey to Kampala or Entebbe. Depending on your schedule, you may take a short game drive while leaving the park.

Travel through the towns and rural landscapes of western Uganda, stopping in Mbarara or along the route for lunch. You will arrive in Kampala or Entebbe during the late afternoon or evening.

Your driver-guide will drop you at your hotel, residence or Entebbe International Airport. A late-evening departure flight is recommended because road and traffic conditions can affect the arrival time.
