Over years Rwanda has become a popular destination for East Africa for Mountain gorilla tracking safaris, Rwanda is a landlocked East African country located between Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, and the democratic republic of Congo, Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park is home to over 12 habituated mountain gorilla families that are living in the greater Virunga near the rift valley bordering Uganda’s Mgahinga gorilla national park and Democratic Republic of Congo’s Virunga national park.

Volcanoes national park covers an area of 160 sq/km of rain forest sitting below the five volcanoes of Muhavura, Gahinga, Sabyinyo, Karisimbi, and Bisoke and the availability of foliage has given Rwanda an upper hand in terms of gorilla reproduction and volcanoes id famous for viewing baby gorillas which are one of the special species of gorillas to see in the wild as they are playful and acrobatic.
