COVID-19 PANDEMIC IN UGANDA. PLAN TO TRAVEL AFTER THE VIRUS ANYTIME
Covid-19 Pandemic by WHO, The total contributions of tourism to export earnings for Uganda is valued at a percentage of 17.9% and considered as one of the largest foreign exchange earners and fastest-growing sector. As a result of the 2019–20 coronavirus, tourism professionals around the world have forecasted at least 10 months as a period for the industry to recover from one of the biggest hits in history which implies that however was planning to travel can adjust to precautionary measures set by different countries like imposed quarantines, entry bans, or other restrictions for citizens of or recent travelers to the most affected areas and plan to travel after covid-19 pandemic instead of cancelling bookings prior made or being planned
The Covid-19 pandemic which has resulted into travel restrictions and a retard to demand among travelers and closure of attractions with in the country has greatly affected several stake holders including workers around the park, Hotels/lodges, livelihood of communities around the parks and a chain of other tourism businesses. MEASURES TO BOOST THE INDUSTRY IN UGANDA

Tourism have to make additional funds available to assist SMEs in the tourism and hospitality sector who are under particular stress due to the new travel restrictions, this is through engaging the government through the finance sectors to provide enough support and revamp the sector amidst this pandemic like all other sectors which are funded.
Tourism mandatory body (Uganda wildlife Authority) has offered relaxed cancellation and reschedule policies for trips already booked. If you do not cancel today, for most trips planned, you will not have to pay extra fees for changing dates; whereas prices will most definitely have changed in the future when mobility is back to its peak should you decide to book afresh when the situation returns to normalcy. Just push the date ahead, it’s just not worth canceling now.
More so a team has been selected from Uganda Wildlife Authority to work with ministry of Health task force on Covi-19 Pandemic and ensure that there is protection of conservation areas and members in the neighboring communities to avoid the spread of the disease within and to the primates.
