While in Kibale the Sanctuary is located 6km south of the Kibale forest national park visitor centre at Kanyanchu as well located about 40 kilometers south of the town of Fort Portal along the protected forest on the outskirts of Bigodi Trading Center. The Bigodi swamp walk circles the swamp which has the highest density of primate life in the world in its forests. For any activity that is conducted in the jungle a certain amount is a must to be contributed to the regulatory body and thus the amount for Bigodi sanctuary is $20 for foreigners, 15$ for foreign residents & 5 $ for Ugandans. The amount paid is thereafter diverted to conservation of the forest and primates in the jungle and as well development of community based projects to improve the standards of members in the neighborhood.
